Day two of our South West Tour
After a delicious breakfast at The Pig it was sadly time to check out. We were heading to Burnham & Berrow for a round of golf on their Championship Course (rated 28th in England by top100golfcourses.com).
We had a lunchtime tee and arrived with the rain. We are hardcore and decided to brave it with the thought it would blow through quickly. It did, however, heavier rain came through behind! Fortunately we did have a buggy to give our daughter some protection but she was not impressed! Despite the weather we really enjoyed the round. Super course with plenty of challenges and some scenic holes.
After golf it was straight in to the Dormy House (good deals to stay & play) to get out of our wet gear. Then into town for dinner at the recommended Italian, La Vela. Despite the dodgy low lighting and worn furniture the food was good. Definitely worth a visit.
A good nights sleep then a lovely breakfast in the club house saw the end of our stay in Somerset. Next stop Saunton Sands in Devon.
